My recent stay at Bodega was my second visit, and while it is a convenient stop just off the highway with ample parking, I found it had lost a bit of its charm from my previous visit. Housekeeping was satisfactory, ensuring basic cleanliness, though I did yearn for that lively atmosphere we experienced before. The walk to town only takes about 10 minutes, making it a decent choice for those wanting to explore local vibes, but I did miss the warmth of a bustling environment. For travelers weighing luxury against value, Bodega offers a reasonable proposition. The air conditioning is functional, providing necessary relief from the Sri Lankan heat, while the luggage storage facility is practical for those like me needing flexibility. It’s a solid choice for short stays, but perhaps not the ideal spot for a tea enthusiast seeking rich experiences.
